Discrete Element Simulation Analysis of Biaxial Mechanical Properties of Concrete with Large-Size Recycled Aggregate

Concrete made with large-size recycled aggregates is a new kind of concrete, where the size aggregate used 25–80 mm, which generally three times that conventional aggregate. Thus, its composition and mechanical properties are different from concrete can be applied in large-volume structures. In this study, generated two stages randomly distributed gravels mortar was to replace model, observe internal stress state cracking This paper also investigated properties, such as compressive strength, crack morphology, stress–strain curve, under confining pressures incorporation ratios. Through research, it found when compared pressure, strength did not decrease significantly at same state, moreover, stiffness increased. Confining pressure has significant influence on cocrete.
